meetings

Players, Thanks for coming in and talking about the upcoming season! I am energized in regard to your enthusiasm for the summer and preparing ourselves to receive all that the Lord has planned for us. Please continue to stop by and let me know how you are doing. KEEP UP ON THE GRADES!!! Many of you are doing fantastic in the classroom and are exceeding our expectations. Please continue to build your GPA during the 4th quarter. As we know, it is not how you start, it is how you finish! Finish Strong, Coach Q

summer calendar

All, Summer calendar is coming soon! The athletic department will have this information for us to get to you when I return from Spring Break. We will have the full summer calendar complete with 7-7 opportunities. I am trying my best to work with other sports as I am sensitive to the amount of time required by other sports in which you might participate. We will have this worked out soon. Enjoy spring break. Coach Q

Spring Break!

All, I trust that you have a safe and relaxing spring break. I will be in Florida and plan to catch a couple of spring practices in the area to take a look at how other schools run practice. Love to see how we can be even more effecient in practice next year. Also, if you are not going away for spring break a friend of mine, Jimmy Graves, is holding a local football skills camp. You can log on to www.footballperf.com to view his material. This would be wonderful opportunity to get a jump the upcoming season. Go Big Blue, Coach Q

summer schedule delayed

All,

I am sorry that you do not have the information that you need to make informed decisions about the summer. My plan of having these to you early was a bit too aggressive. If you or your son want to see the dates I have proposed then please have your son stop by my office and I will give them a draft. However, please note...this is only a draft an NO official dates have been released by the athletic department.

Until we get the official word from athletics, there is nothing officially planned for the summer. Thank you for your patience.

Lifting results - Congrats Randall Cork

Players and Parents...please read on!

Soon results from our lifting classes will be posted. When you see them, you too will say, Congratulations to Randall Cork! Randall is ranked, through total lifts, as the strongest player on our football team! This has nothing to do with size (weight) but rather his willingness to dedicate himself to being the best player he can be...regardless of size. Think about this...Randall is stronger (combining squat, clean, and bench) than players 25 pounds, 50 pounds, 75 pounds, 100 pounds heavier or even team mates twice his size! Randall is dedicated to being excellent in everything he does and the proof is in the results.

So, everyone else, take note. Randall has set the bar at a place where, at least, each lineman should already be and strive to surpass. Please, take the time and consider your plan of improvement.

Stop by and see me, I am always here!

summer schedule coming soon

The summer schedule is in the final stages of approval. I should have approval by early next week and then will post the entire summer schedule. On a different post, please pay attention to the lifting update. It is obvious that we need to be in the weight room **Before the summer begins!**

Please do not begin to think that lifting for the 60 days summer period (and only 16 lifts scheduled at the school) will lead to a state tournament run. With the strong upgrade in our schedule we must prepare our bodies for the 15 week long haul. The time is now!

Stop by and see me! I'm always in!
