The IHSAA official Moratorium dates for the summer of 2011 are July 4 - July 10. By definition:
RULE 15-3.4 MORATORIUM
Each member school shall observe a moratorium starting on Monday of the week which includes July 4th. During this seven-day period, there shall be no contact between athletes and coaches, and no athletic activities, including conditioning, conducted.
This Moratorium time would be the perfect time for a family vacation, mission trip, or just down time. If at all possible, please consider these dates when building your summer schedule.

summer workouts and 7-7
All,
I trust you are enjoying some added time at home during this Icebowl 2011! During the past few weeks I have heard from some of you in regard to your summer intentions for 2011. I realize you have mission trips, family trips and football camps to attend. Please let me know of the dates you are not available. I am attempting to put together an outreach summer workout schedule but want to be sensitive to the common dates that players will be away from the HCS campus.
I am in the final process of locking in dates with Mr. Freeman for the summer so if you want to give some recommendation to me prior to the final dates being released, please do so...ASAP.
